I have been an esthetician for one year.
And, what inspired you to become an esthetician?
I was inspired to become an esthetician because I wanted to be a part of making people feel good/beautiful about themselves.

What’s the name of your business?
Kneaded Rose Massage & Skin Care Services, LLC. I am currently the only dual massage therapist and esthetician.
What is your signature technique and approach to skincare?
My signature technique includes the use of paraffin dip, a rosé tea, and hydrating rose masque.
My approach to skincare is to start simple (enzyme peels) and work my way up (PCA peels).
What sets you apart from other estheticians?
I believe my touch and bedside manner is what sets me apart since I have a background in massage therapy and as a nursing assistant.
What is your specialty?
My specialty is enzyme peels.
What advice or suggestions would you give to a first-time client who has never had a professional beauty service?
My advice for first time clients is to have realistic expectations, i.e., your hyperpigmentation didn’t develop overnight so don’t expect it to disappear overnight.
Trust your beauty professional and do your homecare. That’s extremely important.

I’m not sure. Even old trends can still be very beneficial.

I like to go to different colleagues of mine so I can see what they do differently than myself.
For people living in your immediate area, what advice would you give to them for protecting their skin from the local environment?
Wear sunscreen of at least 30 SPF and moisturize daily.
What is your proudest accomplishment in the esthetics industry?
I haven’t had that moment yet. I still have a ton of things to learn.
